Happy New Year from A Sea of Blue!

I’m about to lose it and fall asleep. Enjoyed the UL-UNLV game, but still leary of Sunday’s game. Hope their poor play continues through out 2009.

is horrible for us. We may still be playing a top 25 team on Sunday, but it’ll only be because the new polls aren’t out yet. If we lose, it’ll be to a team who maybe some people think we should beat? I’m pretty sure we won’t be favored going into Freedom Hall, but it wouldn’t surprise me. If we win, it’ll just be a win over another school from a power conference, no big upset to propel us into the national spotlight.

But it’s still a big game to us and, if you ask me, Gillispie’s biggest so far. Another blowout by a rival would really be bad. I don’t think anybody even counted the Indiana game this year. He really needs to come out and, at the very least, keep this game close.

Let’s hope the cats finish better in March/April 2009 than they did in 2008! Healthy and victorious!

I too wish Louisville had beat UNLV but I’m confident that we have the horses to get the job done. As long as said horses show up to play. Go Cats!

In all my years cheering for the Cats, the 2004 UK-UL game has to be one of my favorites. I just watched this youtube clip again; I had forgotten how back and forth the last minute of that game really was. I had forgotten the foul by Hays. I only remembered Spark’s 3 unforgettable free throws.
