John Clay takes the boo-birds to task.
Great job, John. Kudos for telling it like it is.

I Agree
I find it SO annoying when things like this happen. To “boo” your coach and/or quarterback (or ANY of your team, for that matter) when you are WINNING??? Amazing. I hope that both Coach Brooks and Mike Hartline know that those fans do NOT speak for the entire Big Blue Nation and we (the rest of us) are wondering what the heck is wrong with them as well.

I'm sorry, you just don't boo college athletes, in my opinion.
But the scenario surrounding this particular incident makes the booing all the more puzzling. Did these few idiots actually think that Brooks was going to leave a freshman QB in for the entire game? Did they not realize that Hartline won the job over the course of the summer ( with some help from Pulley ), and wasn’t going to be yanked from the game just because Cobb had a few nice possessions versus a D II team. C’mon people, pay attention!
That’s what irked me more than anything. Some of the UK “fans” showed their ignorance of the program and college football in general. Thank gawd the game wasn’t on national TV.

Let me qualify my opening sentence:
“I’m sorry, you just don’t boo college athletes, in my opinion.” — That should read, “I’m sorry, you just don’t boo non-U of L college athletes, in my opinion.”
OK, I’m only joking :), or am I?
