I love our Coach and his assessment of talent. You will be a great addition to our 2009 team and I hope you have a great time when you visit in October.

I agree.

I am confident that G.J. will do very well as a Wildcat, and much less confident in the scouting services’ evaluations of him.

We shall see how all that works out in about 14 months. :-)

Excellent look at G J’s mindset.

I think he will be a good player for Gillispie. He’ll probably be a four year guy, which is good, especially at the lead guard; it’s always nice to have an experienced player running point.

As far as the doubters; I agree with kykat, and Tru; Gillispie isn’t a fool. I realize one of the reasons he offered Vilarino was to help create a buzz around the program, but offering an unworthy player is a buzz-kill, something Gillispie is aware of. Clyde knows what he’s doing, he knows the type of players he wants on his team. All of those who question his talent evaluation skills should at least wait until one of his recruits doesn’t work out, skill-wise.

Euton’s experiencing the same thing, only more intensely. I just hope that this year we don’t have to endure the garbage that filled cyber-space last season concerning Euton’s ability to play at UK.

I have never understood how some fan, with no coaching or playing experience, can go watch a kid play once, and declare him unfit of a UK schollie. Are you serious?

Hopefully, I won’t have to give a written smack-down to some fool who brings that garbage onto this site.

Can you tell that bothers me?

An ’09 class of Hood, Vilarino, and Orton would be lovely.

In case anyone wondered why she had good 411 and insight on UK basketball, she had close connection to Scott Rigot. Much of her inside 411 came from or through him.
