We Find Its Always Better To Fire People On A Friday

No, I didn't actually get fired.

What happened is that I've been asked to join the staff over at Kentucky Sports Radio, and I accepted. I was definitely not unhappy. I do apologize for not posting much, you guys deserve better. (This has been, by far, the most stressful 5 months of my life. Let's just say I've had some family illness capping off a clusterfuck at work.)

While I won't be blogging here, I will comment, make FanPosts & FanShots and stuff. One of the things that drew me to ASoB is that you guys are the best Wildcat Fan community. I mean, civil discussion and respectful treatment of rivals, on the Internet? That's amazing.

So I'm not going away, but I'm just jumping back to being a regular reader. You thought you could get rid of me that easily? :)

Sorry to hear that...

But please entertain the members here with your excellent sarcasm and personality in the future. Good luck in your new venture.

I didn't ...

… get a chance to post about this, but that is just as well.

I am very happy for FGM. Matt Jones and I had a nice conversation about this, and FGM’s transition has my full and unqualified support, and I’m really glad he will be back around as a diarist and commenter.

Just make sure you link us a lot, or something bad may happen … :-)

Good luck FGM!

I’m glad you’ll be bringing the funny to the BBN once again, we can all do with a little more humor in our lives! I’ll be looking for you on KSR with much anticipation.

TFGM

You may wish to edit “Cluster-F…” in your post. Kids read this blog.

Tough crowd

I also read over at KSR, and it looks like they’re going way too hard on you for no reason. Just know you’re always welcome here!

Definitely.

Always.

In general

While Matt and his corp of posters have a pretty good sense of humor, the few times I’ve bothered to read comments on KSR leaves me to believe that most of those people take themselves and sports WAAAAAY too seriously.

I'm Not A Fan Of Matt Jones (And Vice Versa) Nor KSR Blog

ASOB beats all UK blog or fan websites by a country mile.

KSR

KSR is a good place to get news but I really miss Rob Gidel and dont like many of the new posters that have been writing their the last year or so. They have some funny stuff every now and then but too often are adults with a 17 year old’s sense of humor.

ASOB is by far the best place to come to have a serious discussion about UK sports.

And the only place for UK sports that I know of with frequent "Last Boy Scout" references.

Which is a plus in my book!

Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."

"Allow me to retort..."

and the occasional “Pulp Fiction” reference.
