Florida is going to need plenty of Lipitor this year with this out of conference schedule. We are talking some serious pastry mastication here,
The one real serious team in the whole OOC schedule is ... Ohio State Florida State (Chris grabbed last year's schedule originally and I didn't catch it)! FSU might be pretty good next year, but North Carolina, Louisville or even Miami good? No way.
If the Gators wind up with anyone on the roster under 300 lb. and not mainlining insulin when conference time gets here, I'll be shocked.

Embarrassed
If I was a UF players I would be completely ashamed of myself.
The hardest game of their perconference schedule comes against an NIT team.
If they have one loss coming into conference play they should be laughed out of the gym.

Donovan oand Foley
I understood UF packing last years schedule with cupcakes, but not this years team.
If they falter in the SEC, they could once again find themselves on the outside looking in come Tourney time ( there RPI will have to be made in the SEC ). HIghly unlikely, I know, but it would be quite hilarious.
Where’s Pilot? I’d like to here his opinion on the schedule.

Typical UF
they do the same thing in football.. the Gaytors have not left the State of Florida in 13 or 14 years to play an OOC football game.
Per UF basketball, I do believe we will see that was a special team that won back to back and was a flash in the pan ala UNLV style.

Wow...
I suddenly don’t feel so bad about our non-conference schedule. Thanks Gators!!
But seriously, FSU might give them some problems and I don’t see OSU, but I assume they will play in a tournament.
Also, NCState (my alma mater) finished last in the ACC last year, and if it were possible they would finish even lower this coming season.
Other than those three, it’s nobodies until conference.
Still not a crook!

So scratch Ohio State
That leaves one potential loss in the OOC for the Gators. I’m sure by the time the SEC starts ESPN will be praising Donovan for how well he’s gotten his young players to perform.

I like it
Gators should be undefeated or with no more than 1 loss come SEC play. The obvious problem with playing a weak OOC schedule is that
1. Team will not best tested, and unable to make team adjustments until conference play
2. Although a confidence builder early on,a few losses in conference can really undermine mental toughness of the team.
I do expect the Gators to make the NCAA,but they will be going home the first weekend of the tourney.
