Watching games in Chicago
Is there any sort of place in Chicago area, preferably in the City and close to public transportation, to watch Cats games regularly?
I'm just new to Chicago and was curious as to where I could watch the Cats games in a Cats-fan friendly environment. The last thing I want is to watch the opening game in a non-Cat fan friendly environment if you know what I mean.
If anyone can be of any help, that would be appreciated.

I can understand...
but cannot help you. Maybe Fortyyear will see this and help you, as I think he is in Chicago area. He is more into basketball than football, but hopefully he will respond.

Just a hint....
Your name “cardsfan” could maybe not elicit a response as UK is headed to a big football game against the Cards of E-ville.
I clicked on your id before I responded. All is good.

possible help
i don’t know of a place, but there is a Greater Chicago UK Alumni Club.
apparently they had a flag football this last week and then went out. there’s a phone number and email contact on there, so they might be getting together somewhere to watch it.

hope that helps.
out of curiousity, where in the city do you live? i’m in the NW suburbs (schaumburg).

I'll admit... I love this
Post on a random UK message board looking for a random place somewhere in America to watch the game and sure enough, there’s someone around with a specific place to recommend. 40 comes through in the clutch on that one!
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."

Joe's on Weed Street
Been living in Chicago for 10 years…Joe’s is the place. It’s the Alumni home of UK, Florida, IU, and a host of other schools but they have huge rooms dedicated o each school playing on a given night. Food sucks, beer is cheap, but lots of TV with our games (with volume!) showing. There’s also an OTB across the street, so in October you can always do a little betting on Keeneland…always a nice plus.

I just wanted to echo Tru's thoughts
I think it’s great that so many fans have come forward with info on where cardsfan can comfortably watch the game Sunday.
Last year my family was in Panama City and watched the game at Pineapple Willie’s with about 25 other UK fans, and about 35-40 UL fans. It was a great time! I’ve never seen so many Card fans fly out of an establishment so fast. It was CLASSIC.
