Vilarino (unranked Scout, Rivals, ESPN) probably had one of the best all-around performances of any of the 2009 high school players, which should give Kentucky fans some room for optimism that help is on the way.

1st team All-State in TX as a junior.
He’s a good player. And will be a good one for 4 years at UK.
Brassow came to UK with similar background. Well regarded in TX but NR by recruiting gurus.

Pitino recruited NR players (Epps, Padgett, Mills, Magloire) who turned out well.
So did Tubby (Daniels, Fitch). So will Gillispie.
NR means Not Ranked in Top 100.
