Five-star QB might pick UK on Tuesday
If this happens, look out. It will announce Kentucky's arrival as a serious football program.
We have years before we are ready to compete for a championship, but with Newton and Mossakowski both, our quarterback situation would be as good as it could be.

I am keeping my fingers crossed on this one...
And hoping that what Dad says is true, “that Morgan thrives with competition”.
I would love to have both of these quarterbacks at UK next year…hmm…this is almost getting to the point that I may have some serious “hyperukventilating” problems with all this news re our basketball and football teams at one time!
Go Cats!
Just being in that conversation is huge for UK
At this point, it would be huge to get him… but its almost as big just to be on that final list.
One thing that I saw in there was:
(quarterbacks coach) Randy Sanders has developed quarterbacks at Tennessee and also worked with Peyton Manning
So just what exactly do we have to do to make sure Sanders never, ever leaves us?
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."
I really don't know
I don’t know if he’s been offered the “big boy chair” at any major universities or not. Obviously we have Joker lined up for that (and I don’t disagree with that move). Outside of offering a future head coaching job, I don’t know what we can do to keep him.

Pay him
pay him big big big
To this point I dont think he’s been offered a big boy job but I know he has had offers.
We have a couple things going for us if we can keep winning. We are close to most of the Sanders family which is in knoxville and we are in the SEC. We need to try our hardest to hang on to him.
DEEETROIT BASKETBALLL!!!
Yes...pay him more.
IMO we cannot afford to lose Coach Sanders at this point in time.
He is too valuable…as are the rest of the staff. We need to retain a winning staff for our program to succeed.
Newton choosing UK cannot be overstated
Newton coming to UK would be huge, and would make the ’09 class arguably the best UK football recruiting class in the last 30 years.
A little success, coupled with top notch recruiters makes for a potent potion.
Was Mossakowski a verbal or a signed letter?
I don’t think we’re in signing period yet… so if Newton decides to come to UK, could we then lose our other “big get?”
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."
Verbal ...
… but Mossakowski has already addressed the possibility of a Newton signing. He says he is firm, and doesn’t mind competing for the spot.

Mossawhatsit
i have seen comments from mossakowski that competition isnt a bad thing. He has acknowledged the fact the Newton is continueing to look at UK and that he woulnt mind competing for the job. In my mind newtons interest validates kowski’s commit and makes him think this is the place to be if other good players are looking at coming here.
DEEETROIT BASKETBALLL!!!
My guess
is that one of the QB’s would redshirt, so once one leaves, UK would have the other step right in and start. What a great problem to have.
That's what she said.
Indeed.
For that matter, neither one of them may be good enough to take the spot from Randall Cobb or Hartline. But most likely, Cobb would just slide over to the slot. He just wants to play football.

Exciting to think
UK can land a top QB. I do not think this announces UK’s arrival as a serious football program anymore than Tim Couch’s signing. UK will be a serious football program when they can play on Jan 1 more than once every 20 years and are able to beat UF or UT more than once every 20 years as well.

It's not an announcement of arrival
it’s an announcement that Kentucky Football is a great place to play ball, especially if you happen to be a QB and would like to make it to the pros. It is also an announcement that the staff at Kentucky know WTF they are doing and don’t need pundits to “rave” over them. Yes, a win over Florida and Tennessee, even at home, every couple of years, a couple of East Division crowns and an SEC Champ crown will announce the arrival and solidification of a top tier football team. Until then, UK is continuing to improve and making a name for itself nationally, which will bring in the better recruits (emphasis of the post).
