Derrick Favors is the top prospect on the 2009 US team, but he’s looked average at best in the opportunities we’ve had to evaluate him. Their point guard GJ Vilarino has been a nice surprise, though.

Vilarino
Will be solid PG at UK. Don’t reall understand why G is recruiting over him in 2009 class.

Well ...
Who wouldn’t recruit John Wall?
And I don’t blame Gillispie, we are not exactly deep at point guard even with Villarino.

UK Has 0 Scholarships At The Moment
Patterson leaving for NBA opens 1 for Orton.

GJ
However the scholarship situation works itself out I think that GJ is going to be a good point guard for the cats but will take more time to develop than Wall obviously. I think GJ will be a good four year player but if you can get someone who will have a more immediate impact you have to go after them. I expect that G will honor all of his commitments and work the scholarship mess out somehow.
DEEETROIT BASKETBALLL!!!
Favors has it down to three
I am hearing UGA, G Tech or NCSt. He is scheduling visits starting the end of August. Everyone said he wouldn’t leave the state, looks like they will be correct.
