When people tell you that blogs are worthless, send them to this column. It is well-written, moving and very deathly serious.

Serious things indeed...

With our youth that have been happening for a while.

His article is well written and I am sure he has concerns which are well founded.

I am all for giving an athlete a second chance…But it would depend upon the seriousness of the first infraction and also what the Coach knew about the athlete. Not for just letting he/she play for another win for the college team.

There has to be some discipline in college sports as many players these days it seems have never had the same growing up. Sad to say it spreads to all ethnic backgrounds, and I cannot help but blame the parent or parents for thinking the school teachers are the ones to instill character in a student.
