"It isn't even close."

“We are a lot better team than we were three years ago. It isn’t even close.” Good words from a man who doesn’t get enough credit for rebuilding an absolute woeful program.

Most salient, to me at least, was Brooks’ comment that he has more concern regarding the wide receivers than any other position. Most, I offer, would have believed that QB is the biggest concern but Brooks “feels good about both of them.”

Makes me content to sit back, sip my MM and enjoy the battle.

Let the games (shortly) begin.

Two months (!). Two weeks. Two pencils.

I think ...

... Brooks is right. Right now, we are “one deep” in the wide receiver spot as far as proven ability goes. DeMareo Ford has not proven himself reliable at all yet, and he is a bit injury prone.

I think Kentucky will be better than last year in most ways. The offense has a lot more proving to do, but it had that back in 2006 as well, and that turned out OK. The difference is, we actually have a defense that should be SEC-quality.
