This is just plain funny. I almost sprayed my monitor when reading it.

I have to agree...

Some very funny stuff I never knew about our former UK basketball players!

I think with Matt getting involved in the Barnstorming Tour this year, he got to hear a lot of these funny things with previous players. It’s good stuff, kinda like Mr. Keightley could tell us if still alive, as he knew all those players.

Well ...

... I am quite positive I would be in jail for murder if Shagari Alleyne did that to my room. :-)

Carrier

I always thought he was a tremendous shooter who never found his niche at UK.

At Blue/White scrimmage in 2003, I sat next to his Dad and chatted him up. He (Darel) was not in favor of Josh being at UK. He preferred he go elsewhere to get a better chance to play (more PT).

Carrier....

That has been 5 years ago and I have forgotten what happened to Josh. Did Tubby not use him with all his talent?
Where did he go?

Not Accurate

Josh “froze” in game action (except for Senior Night) compared to his practice performances.

Josh's Stats

http://www.bigbluehistory.net/bb/statistics/Players/Carrier_Joshgbg.html

He played behind Fitch and Bogans in 2002, 2003, and 2004. Both had excellent UK careers at SG position.

What do you mean?

He lost his confidence in college? that he had when he came to Uk? Something was not right there…sorry.

Not What I Wrote (Or Meant)

He swished every one in practice.

He didn’t in game situations.

Reminds me of another "practice legend"

Didn’t most people say the same thing about Todd Tackett?

Carrier > Tackett (In Practice)

Tackett had injury problems and played the wrong sport in college. Better at baseball had he done that instead.

Carrier

I saw him play a few times in HS and he was fabulous, and he was playing against good competition.

I thought UK had a good player, who would contribute. I hated to see him struggle in games as he did. I heard, as Forty writes, that he was unstoppable in practice, but once the lights came on he struggled.

Truly a head-scratcher.

Nah...

Just a big joker on the team…but I have to agree in some sort of way. I am sure the offended players got back!
