Saw that in the paper this morning
Probably the best situation for him.
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."

I predict ...
... He’ll be back.
Probably not for a couple of years, though.

Oh, I think he will.
I wouldn’t bet money on it, but determination can overcome a lot of things. Chuck Hayes proved that to me.

Lofton
Lofton certainly has the determination but not the physical skills to get the job done.
I see Hayes and Lofton’s situations as much different.
Hayes is an outstanding defender and can defend 3 positions which is why he has stuck in the league. Lofton has never been accused of being a great defensive player. Offensive shooters are a dime a dozen in the NBA and while I think Lofton may be able to contribute at some point on the offensive end I dont think he will ever be able to guard the vast majority of guards in the league. He may prove me wrong but I really dont think he will ever stick in the NBA.

I see Lofton ...
... as an offensive specialist. He will have trouble guarding the quicker guards off the bounce, but I think he can guard some of the slower 2-guards in the league.
He is mostly a situational player at best, there is no doubt about that.

Steve Kerr
He had few physical skills but one that Lofton shares. Outstanding shooter, especially in the clutch.
Lofton will (probably) play in the NBA someday.

LOL
That made me chuckle BUT Phoenix’s new coach is Terry Porter (was a Pistons asst. last season). THey will now play some D.
He could play in New York or for Golden State still though.

I completely forgot about their coaching change
That’s bad news for Nash. He seems to be allegic to D.
