Keith Bogans making a difference at home
Just a great article on one of my favorite UK players of recent times. Keith Bogans' perseverance at Kentucky and in the NBA is the kind of story everybody loves.
It says a lot about Kentucky that we keep producing NBA players with tremendous character. It truly makes me proud to be a Wildcat fan.

Bogans
4th leading scorer in UK history, yet he gets (relatively) little fanfare for that achievement.

True. But not from me. I always loved him.

Bogans...
Always one of my favorites, and remembers his meager childhood days and wants to make a difference in these kids lives.
A true sign of character as so many of our UK guys have shown in the NBA.

Junior Year
That (subpar) year cost him 2nd place in Total Points behind Issel.

Bogans...
Keith was always, for me, one of the stronger players on my list of favorites, both physically and mentally. He had some phenomonal games…..and a few that statistically didn’t show the effort that he gave EVERY single game. The man came to play, whether he scored 20 or not.

I always felt bad for Bogans
Every time Kentucky was on ESPN, I had to listen to Dick Vitale talk about Bogans and Joe Forte being on the same high school team. And then he would go on and on and on about how awesome Forte was and that Bogans just needed to be patient.
I get a tremendous amount of satisfaction knowing that Bogans is still in the NBA and Forte flamed out long ago.
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."
