because it was the NCAA finals…not the conference finals. and i think you meant ‘97 finals, unless they were tears of joy in ‘96 like i had!

Don’t know if you saw it or not, but the owner of that site is now blaming the negative comments he’s getting on A Sea of Blue. I know it isn’t our folks, though. The comments (while funny) aren’t insightful enough.

If I wrote a whiny post like that, I would expect no end of UNC, Duke, and Louisville fans swarming down to laugh at me. Does the author really expect to be able to do it and get away scott free? :-)

By the way, I want to remind everyone that, by legal ruling, Duke football is so bad that a high school team would be an acceptable substitute on anyone’s schedule. No matter how good or bad Duke basketball is, I will never, ever cease to remind them of the suckage of their football program. :-)

10 FF and 3 NCAA titles over past 25 seasons (1984 through 2008).

UK has 8 FF and 3 NCAA titles over past 50 seasons (59 thru 08) but just 5 FF and 2 NCAA over past 25 seasons (84 thru 08).

Sure, but all time we’re above them on the basketball ladder. In fact, you could argue over the past few years there are a number of teams that have done better, but very, very few that you could argue have done better over the history pf their program.

One of the funniest rants....

I’ve read in a while. This guy is a joke if he really thinks the national media has a bias against duke. Coach K could try to run over puppies and it would be spun in a positve light.

Besides, the poll isn’t exactly scientific, everyone already knows UK should win. :-)
