Rush the Court has a great review of the 2008 NBA draft here. A lot of very interesting stats and examinations of the players drafted and undrafted.

DeAndre Jordan
Really hard to believe he wasn’t taken in 1st round.

Jordan
I think he fell not becuase no one wanted him but because no one wanted to give him guarenteed money. He has a lot of upside but there are questions about his work ethic . By picking him up in the second round a team can take the risk without having to pay him a guarenteed amount per year.

Lofton
I thought he’d get picked up somewhere in the 2nd round.

I frankly doubted ...
... that Lofton would get drafted.
But he has a work ethic like Chuck Hayes. I wouldn’t bet against him winding up on somebody’s roster.

Yeah, too bad about C-Lo. Great college player! But I doubt what he does so well at our level will translate to the pros… look at J.J. Redick. How many more seasons before we see him pop up in Europe?

I Think Lofton Will Earn NBA Paycheck Someday
And I think DeAndre Jordan will have a good NBA career. He should have been a 1st rounder.

Jordan
Not so sure about Jordan. He has the talent to be a first rounder but Im not sure if he has the work ethic to have a very good career. Time will tell.

One thing he'll get
Opportunity. Going to the Clippers gives him a chance to contribute immediately behind Kaman. Dunleavy is a good coach, too, so he’s going into a great situation. Now it’s up to him to make the most of it.

Work Ethic
Would have been interesting to see how much PT Jordan really would have gotten if Gillispie had stayed at A&M.
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."
