Brooks' ‘hot seat' a lot of hooey - Mark Story
Mark Story makes mincemeat out of articles like this one by David Climer of the Tennessean, this one by Fanblogs, and this equally ludicrous effort at al.com.
Story demonstrates to the aforementioned that even if Brooks doesn't objectively deserve to be in the top of the coach-heavy SEC, he certainly doesn't deserve the basement.

Once again it's
simply a lack of looking outside your bubble of influence. The aformentioned writers failed to look outside their little world, do some research, pay attention to the past couple o seasons and make a true analysis of the coleege football landscape. Their avid readers are the ones who are getting the shaft and when Kentucky knocks off one of their precious teams their surprise and shock will puncture their gas-bag faces forcing out a cry of frustration from the realization that they are not as good as one of the “bottom feeders?” that year. All the while UK fans will revel in another milestone. Thanks Coach Brooks for giving us the opportunities to rejoice we have had.

LOL! Very good bluecrip.
Story really drives home his point toward the end of his article by comparing Johnson and Croom’s achievements, with Brooks’ accomplishments and head to head record.
Brooks has the head coaching gig until he doesn’t want it anymore.
