Kentucky Football Recuiting Flurry
In a surprising development, the Kentucky football staff got five commitments from 2009 football recruits in the last 24 hours alone. They are (via The Cats Pause):
| Committed/Not Yet Signed (in the last 24 hours) |

| Name | Pos | Ht/Wt | Stars | Rank |
| Brian Adams | QB | 6-4/210 | NR | |
| Mister Cobble | DT | 6-0/270 | NR | |
| Kevin Mitchell | OL | 6-7/280 | NR | |
| Jarvis Walker | LB | 6-2/202 | ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Coach Rich Brooks is getting the job done early, signing some serious beef for the defensive and offensive lines, as well as a very good linebacker.
Kentucky is really beginning to improve recruiting in football, and that bodes nothing but good for us in the future. Getting all these verbals in such a short time is likely to be unprecedented in recent UK history, and several of these guys also had offers from our biggest rival down I-64.
Congratulations, Wildcat coaching staff. Keep it going.

Love this Flurry
and another one on the near horizon with Belsor, who was considering Louisville.
Go Cats!
Getting Louisville offers ...
... just makes me smile.

That would be ...
... the biggest get in Wildcat football memory.
I don’t quite know how I would react, but I do know that the assault from the rest of college football on a Newton commitment to UK would set records in skulduggery.

Locking Up Louisiana!
Now we’ve done it!
Looks like Brooks has gone into the Deep South and locked up the Bayou State.
Sorta like when some one comments when the young man from New York said he was considering Kentucky and how scared Tricky Ricky was going to become.
Is there no end to the furry and passion of Kentucky Athletics?
Go Cats!
Louisiana ...
... is a simply awesome place to get football players. I sure hope we continue to work that state hard.

What coach recruits GA?
We’ve seemed to have quite a pipeline from there in recent memory. Especially LaGrange (Woodyard, W.)
Two months (!). Two weeks. Two pencils.
