This is a good article over at the Lexington Herald-Leader covering a number of UK's incoming football freshman class.

This class looks to me like the best in years in terms of speed at the skill positions. Many of them have won best-in-state honors in track and field events.

Cobb

At least he knows where he most probably will get more playing time and what position he realizes is needed on the team. IMO a good decison on his part, and does seem okay with playing other than QB. His time at that position could come later.

Yeah ...

... we have no shortage of athletes/quarterbacks this year. WR is a good spot for many of them to be looking.

Very refreshing

to be talking about football. Has anyone heard anything on how DeMoreo Ford is rehabbing? Arguably the most important year in a long time for the Cats. Are they poised to continue the momentum of back-to-back bowl wins or significantly regress? I hope for the former but am looking forward to fall Saturdays nevertheless.

Two months (!). Two weeks. Two pencils.

Ford

Sorry, I have no info on him. Perhaps Tru or Ken does.

Ford's rehabbing is progressing very nicely per Chip Cosby of the H-L.

Football talk is about to begin here at ASoB … and very soon.

I must say

I really don’t follow the football team like the basketball team, but I watch them when they are on.But if 5 years ago you would have told me that UK would beat the team that won the National Championship and Florida State in a bowl game in the same season I would have thought that person to be nuts. Before Mumme came(and “bowled in” the stadium) I always felt it looked “low rent” on television. The football program has came along way in the last 10 years, and cheers to everyone who made it happen.
