Tiger Woods has stress fracture in his knee...
I bet Gillispie's tough practices are to blame.

Wounded Tiger
Maybe Tiger is flesh and bone afterall. It is simply amazing that he performed the way he did, if he was healthy. My vocabulary isn’t vast enough to come up with a word to describe his achievements considering he played with a stress fracture in his tibia.
His focus is unparalled. I wish him only the best.
By the way Chirop, I was thinking the same thing (Gillispie’s practices) as you as I read the story a few minutes ago. This is proof positive that a finely tuned athlete can sustain a stress fracture, and that such a fracture isn’t necessarily the result of over-exuberant training by an out of shape Kentucky basketball player.

Great Focus...
That he most definitely had during the US Open.
I could tell he was in pain at times and not at 100%. But he had a mission to complete his play in this tournament even though it was obvious his pain at times. He had to alter his swing at times to compensate. Damn, he walked 91 holes with the pain, and he did admit some medications for it on Sunday.
We did not know at the time that he needed more surgery on his knee. I hate to lose him for the Ryder Cup, but he knows what he needs to do at this time.
