John Clay gets how huge the loss of John Cohen is to Kentucky baseball. He and I have both commented on this loss, and it appears that we both have reservations about Henderson's ability to just come in and continue what John built here at UK.

I dearly hope that our baseball team does not wind up like it was before Cohen came here 5 years from now. I do trust Barnhart when it comes to hiring coaches, but considering Cohen's success here, these are some really huge shoes to fill. Clay gets that. I don't think a lot of other UK fans really do.

Clay

I have to agree with John and Tru. Cohen had something special like all of the ultra successful coaches do, and replacing that “something” is probably unlikely.

I am impressed with Henderson’s resume though. He certainly has earned the right to try his hand at running a major program. I wish him only the best.

Definitely ...

... he has. I am a fan of promoting assistants, like Barnhart, but I am not at all sanguine about life without Cohen.
