Per Andy Katz, Marreese Speights is skipping the NBA pre-draft camp in Orlando. Quoth Katz, "Big-name college players who are hyped throughout the season and considered a first-round pick and even a bubble first-round pick usually refuse to play at the camp."

What do you guys make of this? Has Speights gotten a guarantee? If not, it seems to me he should be playing; I don't think anyone's calling him a lock at this point. Is he willing to put that much confidence in his ability to impress at individual workouts?

Sorry, I know this isn't exactly UK-related. I just found it interesting.

It could be that he was told “go back, you don’t have a shot”. Or it could be that he wasn’t told anything, is going to sit through the draft, and if he doesn’t get picked, remain a FA like Randolph Morris did.

Oh, wait.

I might have gotten Randolph’s story wrong. Scratch that.
