Wes Johnson Will Not End Up at UK
Iowa State chose to release him to just eight schools.
Arkansas, Connecticut, Marquette, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Villanova and West Virginia.

???
The guidelines say that Iowa State won’t release a player to any other Big 12 schools or schools that the team is scheduled top play. To my knowledge, UK is not in the Big 12, and I don’t recall us being scheduled to play them. What gives?
Does this just indicate that Johnson isn’t interested in UK. . .

It could simply mean
That he wanted to avoid any undue pressure by going to UK, or he could actually not be interested, or ISU really does want to play hardball, or maybe we’re in a future tournament together.
Could be a variety of things.

Wasn't it ISU...
....that made some claim of tampering by an SEC school on Johnson? Could that be the reason for them not wanting to put UK on the list of schools they would release him to?

I think ...
... I read that tampering story somewhere, but I don’t believe it was Kentucky.
Could be.
