Noah Arrested!!!!!!!!!

I haven't seen this posted on here yet. Thought it might be of interest since he was "public enemy # 1" while at Florida. It appears that Mr. Noah was busted for possession of marijuana and having an open container of alcohol in Gainesville early this morning. Nice to see that the police in Gainesville show no favortism, even to players that helped win back to back national titles. Here is the link to the ESPN article.

Geez...my god...holy swhit!!!

The comments are over 900 and going!

Guess he wanted to have a little fun this weekend. Poor guy!...oh well, the NBA can surely change some people, I suppose.

Change some people?

You think didn’t enjoy weed before the NBA????

Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."

Edit Button Tru! Edit Button!

That should have said “You think this guy didn’t enjoy weed before the NBA???”

The this guy should have been my hyperlink.

I'm sure ...

... that will be high on the list. But I do think this is a feature, not a bug. :-)

understandable

I still have difficulty using the hyperlink scripted window. It pops up and I paste in the text, but I don’t know how to get it to have a “title.”

One possible suggestion for the devs of the site, I have been to other sites that use a similar scripted window that works in two parts. When you first bring up the link it asks you for a web address. After you click okay to that, it then brings up another box where you put the text you want it to display. Very user friendly for those of us who are not net savvy.

I see ...

... nothing new or unusual here. Young NBA player makes a bad choice, breaks the law, looks foolish, starts the. “Why is marijuana illegal again?” debate for the 9,0213,145,059,840,125th time.

I just hope it doesn’t become a habit.

I think I can faintly hear a lot of Kentucky fans beating their chest with a smirk on their face at this news. Wonder why that might be? :-)

Could have been worse

If Noah was accosted by a cheerleader for some marijuana, he might have smacked her down!

Not surprised

I thought he looked high most of the time, no one looks that goofy without being on something, or do they?

To be honest....

UK players I am sure do the same thing, but just haven’t been caught. Anyone that has been to college knows that things like this go on, but it is funny as hell to see this dweeb get busted LMAOROTF

Noah for all his adulations...

By his Coach BD, that we heard for so many times, acted very stupidly.

I have seen the bad side to marijuana...

two of my stepchildren in the 80’s. Their Dad gave them so much…cars, spending money, clothes and would have paid for a college education, had they not gotten so screwed up. He finally was a “tough love” parent and they were ousted from our home. But only after the son put his fists through our walls and the daughter fisted her Dad in the face. There was a lot more leading up to those events.
I have no idea about college today. I just hope that kids realize it can be a harmful thing, that can lead elsewhere.

Hmm

Maybe you should relate this story to Noah’s father, who doesn’t think this should be a big deal. What an idiot! As though some athletes don’t already see themselves as above authority, here’s this kid’s dad saying he doesn’t see what the big deal is. Noah acting the way he does is starting to make a little more sense to me now.

right......

cuz Noah is clearly someone who doesn’t have his stuff together – people forget that in addition to skill it takes a crap tonne of work to get good enough to go pro. I’m not saying it cannot be harmful in instances, but perhaps typecasting any sort of weed related sterotypes on someone that has accomplished as much as he has doesn’t seem appropriate.
With respect to his father, he was a french tennis player in the early 80’s, and just like the majority now utterly condemns marijuana, the culture he was surrounded by at the time most likely endorsed it’s use (as one of the guys on PTI hinted at)
All that being said, the stuff is illegal which makes it a very bad decision – esp. to have it in your pocket while drinking in public (he is forgetting all of those good things they taught him at UF apparently).

waiting on a new banner being raised in Rupp..........

Very Bad Day...

He also received two traffic citations at the UF campus.
