Exciting Thursday Morning Baseball! Bama vs. UK
Hey, anybody awake? Now that I've gotten my ha-ha's out of the way, I'm catching up with our wonderful Baseball Wildcats. With a late, late start, the Wildcats are currently battling the Crimson Tide in the SEC Tournament. (Get your live stats here!) At the time of this post, 'Bama leads 3 to 2 at the end of the 2nd inning. The Wildcats are the designated home team this game.
If I'm still awake, I'll update this post with the final score. Else, I'll let Tru or Ken clean up the mess in the morning.
Update 3AM Thursday: Kentucky brings the pain, and wins 9 to 3. In his first start of the year, Kentucky pitcher Aaron Lovett gets the complete game, with 3 ER, 8 hits, 2 walks and an amazing 12 strikeouts.
Our victorious team will be facing Ole Miss tomorrow -- er, I mean TODAY -- at 8PM. Well, roughly 8PM. Today's game was supposed to start at 8PM, but was pushed back to 10:45.

Wow
Top of the 4th, one out, and Kentucky Pitcher Aaron Lovett has 6 strikeouts. Amazing! However, Lovette has gotten into his second full count this inning.

The replay doesn't lie
McClendon was safe at 2nd in the bottom of the 4th.
Hell yeah! Game tied at 3! Spear finds the gap for a double.

Woooo!
There are a ton of fans that are “Wooooo!”-ing when ‘Bama does something good. I’m guessing that they’re fans of the Nature Boy?

Top of the 5th. Bases loaded, one out. Bama hits into a double-play. UK got bailed out of a terrible inning.

I played catcher in Little League
And I remember feeling what the Bama catcher is feeling right now—fastball to the balls.

Woooooo!
McClendon, after taking a foul ball to his foot, hits a 2 RBI double to give the Wildcats the lead!

Nine
Nine strikeouts for Lovett, and Bama ends the top of the 6th with yet another DP.

I like seeing myself post
Actually, just trying to attract attention, in case somebody is watching.

It ain't over, but
If you’re Bama, and you just committed your second 2-run error in the game, you’re in a world of hurt.

They didn't get started until sometime around 11PM
I can’t imagine trying to do anything athletic at this time of night.
Another RBI for Carroll, Cats up 8 to 3.

They're on fire!
McClendon picks up his 3rd RBI of the night, 9-3 Wildcats.
And I do believe I heard a very strong C-A-T-S cheer. Woooo!

Hay String
What do you do that causes you to get home so late? (Or should I say early?)
7th inning stretch time… I guess I better go grab my final light alcoholic beverage.

If we win...
we win another late game (8:00 p.m. tomorrow) against Ole Miss, who will be looking for some revenge since the most recent home series at Cliff Hagan Field.

We have 100% more “High Fastball to the Face” String Music, meet Chin Music.
Holy cow, Strikeout #11 for Lovett. The commentators say Lovett has not started all season. What a great decision by the UK Coaching Staff.

Wow
12th K, complete game for Lovett. What a performance!
Make a FanShot of that, String, if you want. I’m really pumped about Razor Ramon playing hard in Africa. Love that kid!
Since I’m awake, guess I’ll update my post.

Awesome!
A 3 AM liveblog. This could be a blogging first!

Ha. Well. . ..
I’m not sure I could call that a liveblog, rather more of a chat recorded for all time between (a slightly drunk???) FGM and String Music. Good news to see first thing in the morning though.
Slander!
FGM has never been drunk in his life. He is as pure as the wind-driven snow.
I am tickled the Cats won, and ticked for forgetting to mention it yesterday. I am really not much of a baseball fan anymore, unfortunately, although I do try to remember to keep up with the Cats in baseball.
At least now, I can update the standings.

I smelled a glass of Maker's once, and was overcome with dizzyness
I have drank several Coronas, but I was instructed that Coronas are not really beer.

True Champion
Nice work 11p-3a liveblog of baseball game. This is a critical win for the Bat Cats and I look for them to go deep in this Tourney and secure a CWS Regional site. Very exciting!
If we ...
... get deep enough, we may be hosts. That would be awesome.

RE: If we ...
How is it, that we went through this major ground up overhaul, and still do not have an edit button?
Anyway, that’s what I meant, to host a site. Just didn’t say that.
RE: If we ...
Also, when replying, the subject should default to the above… RE: Parent’s Subject.
I get sick of typing a subject for every single reply.. only site I know of that forces that I think.
Great way to start the morning
FGM live blogging alone at 1am, only to be joined at 2 by another hardcore UK/ASoB fan. You guys are troopers and gave me quite the chuckle this morning!
Still not a crook!
I was honestly surprised anybody would be up with me
I was shooting for the complete “posting” game: The story and all comments written by me. String Music broke me in the 7th inning.
