Exciting Thursday Morning Baseball! Bama vs. UK

Top of the 4th, one out, and Kentucky Pitcher Aaron Lovett has 6 strikeouts. Amazing! However, Lovette has gotten into his second full count this inning.

McClendon was safe at 2nd in the bottom of the 4th.

Hell yeah! Game tied at 3! Spear finds the gap for a double.

There are a ton of fans that are “Wooooo!”-ing when ‘Bama does something good. I’m guessing that they’re fans of the Nature Boy?

Top of the 5th. Bases loaded, one out. Bama hits into a double-play. UK got bailed out of a terrible inning.

But Bama has the home crowd. Wooooo!

And I remember feeling what the Bama catcher is feeling right now—fastball to the balls.

McClendon, after taking a foul ball to his foot, hits a 2 RBI double to give the Wildcats the lead!

Nine strikeouts for Lovett, and Bama ends the top of the 6th with yet another DP.

Actually, just trying to attract attention, in case somebody is watching.

If you’re Bama, and you just committed your second 2-run error in the game, you’re in a world of hurt.

McClendon picks up his 3rd RBI of the night, 9-3 Wildcats.

And I do believe I heard a very strong C-A-T-S cheer. Woooo!

I’m not sure I could call that a liveblog, rather more of a chat recorded for all time between (a slightly drunk???) FGM and String Music. Good news to see first thing in the morning though.

Nice work 11p-3a liveblog of baseball game. This is a critical win for the Bat Cats and I look for them to go deep in this Tourney and secure a CWS Regional site. Very exciting!
