Just wanted to say....
Congrats to Sea of Blue on moving on up with the upgrade.
Also, I must clarify this now before questions get asked later. My username is because I'm a St. Louis Cardinals fan and they upgraded to the new system first.
Anyway, with the latest rankings that just came out. GJ is a three star and I was curious as to if you think he will re-open his committment or if he will indeed become a Wildcat given that most of our recruits seem to be four and five stars as of late.

Whoo hoo
A fellow STL fan. Good to have you around. Glad to see they finally won again last night – hope they can overcome the slide of late. I’ll let it go at that – I suppose that all belongs on another site.
I would be surprised to see G.J. reopen, after so much hoopla was made of him being Gillispie’s first true recuit/commitment. I just hope he doesn’t keep sliding. . .

My thought ...
is that Vilarino will be here as planned. We need a point guard like him, and I think Gillispie sees more in him than stars. Also, he still has another year to improve that ranking, even though I don’t think it matters.
Even Duke takes three-stars. It just depends upon how well they fit in the coach’s system.

oh, cardsfan
St. Louis is my baseball team as well (love that blog’s name) but I’m still very uncomfortable with your username : )
I always say “I’m a St. Louis fan,” NEVER I’m a Cardinal or Cards fan. I mean, shudder!

St. Louis
I know what you mean BKG. I don’t wear any St. Louis gear, unless it’s got the Birds on the Bat, for fear of being mistaken for a fan of anything in Louisville! And then, only in season.

To be safe
I don’t wear any STL gear unless I’m back visiting the Lou (STL), and usually then only at Busch Stadium. UK first, STL second.

Though
I did manage to catch a Red Sox/Yankees game at Yankee Stadium a few weeks ago when I was in NYC on business, and proudly displayed my STL Cards gear there.

Why, The RED Sox of course!
I should have specified, I forget sometimes—I thought it was obvious since I was replying to TrickyD’s "Reds" post……Sorry.
But I do occasionally enjoy what I can only assume are Ozzie’s, "motivational" tirades. : )

of course
i figured it was the red sox, since there aren’t many of us white sox fans…
we get ozzie’s tirades, you get manny being manny with his high five double plays. sounds pretty even to me.

Kentuckygirl!
A Yankees fan, really?? How did it all go so astray for you, a good KY girl, to end up like that : )
I know they’re probably the cutest team in the sport (Alex Rodriguez…Derek Jeter…dreamy sigh) but that’s no excuse! They’re still the Duke basketball of the MLB.
It was pretty brave of you to admit your fandom though, I’ll give you that. I’m sure you must get crap for it all the time.

Crap
I sure do take a lot of crap for it! My husband HATES the Yankees as do most people I know. My brother and sister-in-law are both Red Sox fans, so that in itself is a “family fued.” (The only other person that I know that is a Yankees fan is my pastor at church, believe it or not.) Luckily, to keep the peace, both my brother and myself are also big Cubs fans. I know, the Yanks and the Cubs – strange combination. My brother and I both watched the Cubs together growing up during the Andre Dawson, Mark Grace, Ryne Sanberg days, so the Cubs bring together what the Yanks/Red Sox tears apart – I guess it all works out in the end. I actually took my brother on a road trip to Wrigley Field for his 21st birthday – we had a blast! So, yeah, I take crap all the time – I am actually quite used to it – still, it doesnt change my mind and it sure doesnt take away all those Yankee wins! ;)

My friend Hefty Lefty
I have a friend at work who used to blog at FireRich.com under the name “Hefty Lefty”. His parents moved back and forth between NYC area and Lexington. So he picked up rooting for the Big Blue and the Bronx Bombers. I think he’s just hedging his bets. He tells me that to adjust for rooting for two of the most prestigious sports franchises, he also roots for the Buffalo Bills. :)
