NAIA Basketball if anyone is interested

When you get home from work tonight, chances are you will be looking for some basketball on the television....if so, some local teams have your fix. If you get the CBS College Sports Network (formerly CSTV), which before now has only been known for giving Steve Lappas a chance to yell into a camera, then tonight you can watch Georgetown and Campbellsville play in the NAIA Final Four. Yes two teams from Kentucky have made the Final Four of that event and both are on national television this evening. In Georgetown's case, they are protecting a #1 seed and an undefeated 35-0 record....an unbelievable accomplishment for Happy Osborne. They play a team named "Mountain State" tonight, which must be a fake name and is simply a front for the Harlem Globetrotters. In the second game, Campbellsville (a place to which yours truly has some connection) will take on Oklahoma City, still wishing that Eric Manuel had eligibility left. Campbellsville is unseeded and making a "Davidson-like" run to the title. Both teams are playing well and deserve some Kentucky love.
So remember:

Georgetown v Mountain State 6:30 PM
Cambellsville v Oklahoma City 8:45 PM

Both games on the CBS College Sports Channel. Tune in....

It's great to see Kentucky represented so well in the national tournaments.

Georgetown has become a dynasty. Coach Osborne has carried Coach Reid's torch very well.

Good luck to all. (Except UL)

Thanks for your response Ken...alas they both lost, but still a great accomplishment for both our Kentucky teams!

Difficult
It has to be difficult for the smaller schools in state to get the proper amount of media coverage. With UK and UL receiving the bulk of the air time and, column inches I'm sure the coaches and players feel a bit left out at times.

They play an excellent brand of basketball that deserves recognition.

Last Dec. UK vs This March Georgetown
Would not be fun to watch.

If Carter felt he needed mor PT, this would be a GREAT place for him. He could win a bunch and be in lne to get an NC. HE could also play for the home town peeps.

Agreed.
If I remember correctly, didn't Georgetwon give UL all they could handle either last year ('06 preseason) or the year before?

There are probably many DII and NAIA schools that would have given UK trouble in December, much less the elite of those divisions.
