UK Basketball: Cats to honor Keightley
Kentucky is going to honor Mr. Wildcat this Sunday during the Mississippi Valley State game. That is fitting, since former Wildcat Sean Woods is coaching the Delta Devils. Of course, we all remember Sean mostly for the shot just before The Shot in the classic 1992 Kentucky-Duke NCAA regional final.
I think Bill Keightley would find it very fitting. I expect a lot of tears on Sunday around the Bluegrass.

Fitting
From the article:
Beginning Sunday, fans can register at UKathletics.com for an opportunity to sit in Mr. Keightley’s seat on the Kentucky bench from pregame through the first media timeout of a game.
Weren’t many of us calling for the chair to be left empty? Although being that close to the Cats would be awesome, I’d feel wrong sitting in Mr. Wildcat’s seat.
Mr. Wildcat
Don’t ya think Mr. Wildcat would want it this way?…I’d love to sit there.
" I believe in pipedreams"
But honestly...
Don’t you think that Mr. Wildcat would like having a UK fan in that seat for a short time during the game? To experience the feeling that he had right there with the coaches and players for so many years, would be awesome for a true blue UK fan. I hope some youngsters win the seat during the season. I don’t think he would complain about this…he was just an extraordinary UK fan and individual.
