Another great piece from Vaught on Mike's ability to handle the criticism he has received his three years at UK. I must say it takes a very special UK player to look past that and just continue what he is asked to do in practice and for the team. Jodie Meeks says the same thing in a different way referring to his injuries last season. A very good read.

One Point To Note In The Aricle

Porter humbly states he was not the eading scorer on his HS team. That’s true f his junior and senior year. His backcourt mate was. But Porter IS the leading career scorer at Modesto Chrstian HS. He outscored his backcourt mate as frosh and soph, leading MCHS to state title and runner-up those 2 seasons.

Cuck Hayes played there. Several other Div I talents in recent years. But Porter is #1 on the career points list.

Adrian Oliver

Couldn’t remember the name (above) but he and Porter were 4 year backcourt mates at MCHS in 2003-04-05-06.

Oliver considered UK but opted for Washington. He has now transferred back to Nor Cal somwhere.
