This is an artcile by Crawford at the CJ about the game yesterday...there are also 3 video interviews with Coach G, Harris and Meeks.
I like seeing the faces with the interviews.

Cats Have Talent To W This Game
Louisville is a good team. But UK keeps getting better, too.

Meeks...
…really seems to like that gym..! however, I do think that Traitor Rick will have a defensive scheme ready and waiting for UK and Meeks. We will need to get Pat the ball early and then try to knock down some 3’s… Stevenson will need to play a big game with ’ville’s inside presence…
man, I can’t wait for that one… hopefully Harris will be at full strength and he can help lock up Clark and /or T. Will…
Steelers fan 1st! UK is my 2nd love.
Two things.
- U of L is somewhat more talented, and has more quality depth than Kentucky.
- U of L is fully capable of taking Jodie Meeks away from us.
With all that said, UK is more than talented enough to beat Louisville. Kentucky is unquestionably more talented than Western and Minnesota, and both those worthies have already dispatched the Cards, although nobody has beaten Louisville at home this year.
Louisville has weak and exploitable point guard play, but they have good shooting guards and a very strong and deep front line. UK is no better at the point, and much thinner in the back court than the Cardinals. We are deep enough across the front line, but they may be slightly better and are certainly more athletic. Who would take Perry Stevenson over Earl Clark? I think Patterson is good enough to hold down either Samuels or Clark, but who holds down the other?
UK has not succeeded when teams have played good on-the-ball pressure. We are better now, but the Cardinal’s press will be a challenge, make no mistake. I am not at all confident we can waltz into Freedom Hall and win this year. It is surely possible, but we would have to be considered a significant underdog.

Absolutely
UK is more talented than either team that beat Louisville so far. And definitely has the talent to W it.
One thing to note is that the Louisville staff is relatively young and inexperienced. UK has a veteran staff. They have a lot to do with game preparation.

That's true, and a good point.

I made the mistake
of reading the comments responding to Crawford’s article. Idiots come in both red and blue, it seems. I could not wait to get back to ASOB to hear some rational discussion. We may have some who are fairly certain of their opinions, but very rarely do we resort to the infantile name-calling I see other places on the web, and when we do, our honorable webmeisters wipe ’em out pretty quick. Thanks to all our ASOB folks for keeping it above board.
As far as our chances of beating Pitino’s team, this series has had LOTS of surprises. I sincerely hope the upcoming game is one of them.
