Basketball Blogpoll: A Sea of Blue's ballot
OK, so I have been remiss updating the basketball blogpoll this year. So sue me. Anyway, I did submit a ballot all bot one time so far (in week one). What you see below is my Week 3 ballot, and the deltas between Week 2.
This year, I have changed my ranking system. I am taking input from several different sources, manipulating the numbers and coming up with a score which is then used to rank the teams. I don't think this is any better or worse than other systems, it is just a derivative of several including but not limited to the RPI and Pomeroy's Pythagorean ranking. I may change it again later if I decide it isn't giving me what I want.
The big deltas between this week and last are primarily due to a tweak I made. I was giving a couple of factors way too much weight, and now I have adjusted that so that all the factors have proper weighting (proper by my own rules). So here we go:
As for the final Blogpoll, here are the results:

If UT...
was to slip out of the rankings, it would really look bad for the SEC.
Apparently BG had a full day at ESPN, if anyone wants to hear his radio interview with Tirico and Van Pelt you can find it here
There is no putting lipstick on this pig.
The SEC is way down this season, and UT looks no better than a top 15 team to me.
Thanks for the link.
