I am THRILLED this team went bowling. I just have to say if their jerseys didn’t say Kentucky and I didn’t cheer for them, I would have a hard time admitting this team is worthy of the post season.

This came to my mind...

…UK may have chosen this bowl because they thought it would give them a “better” chance to have a winning season…

Going to a bowl game is great, but going to a bowl game, then eneding up with a losing (6-7) record, well that would be embarrassing…

this bowl gives us a better shot at A winning record… We still have a very formidable opponent in front of us and without Cobb, even more so…

as always, just my opinion…

Steelers fan 1st! UK is my 2nd love.

Couldn’t agree more. This was our best shot at winning the bowl game.

A hot East Carolina team...

like the one that beat VT, WVU to begin the season and Tulsa last weekend is much better than Boston College, notwithstanding its “mid-major” status. That said, it’s difficult to argue which bowl would give us a better chance to finish the season above .500 rather than below, but it would be difficult to defeat either BC or ECU.

If I were Banhart and Brooks, picking the bowl based on competition (to put the team in the best position to finish 7-6), I would rather play Boston College coming off the loss to Virginia Tech in the ACC title game than ECU after they claimed the C-USA title.

We’ll see.

No matter the opponent

The players, or most, wanted a change in venue. This is what the bowl games are for…the players foremost in my opinion. The fans were not the ones on the field playing hard through either win or lose…and the injuries for many. If we lose to ECU, it is still good for the team in all respect.

Oh yes, from this perspective...

I understand the decision to go to Memphis.
