Jai Lucas to transfer
Wow! After all we did to get him, now he's leaving UF. Wonder if Billy will be back on him?

really?!??!?
Wow, I can’t believe that. I’m really surprised—it’s not like he didn’t have a pretty good season or get minutes or anything. Wonder where he’s headed. I’m sooooooooooo glad we scored Patterson instead of “that one.” Um, not that I wouldn’t be willing to give him a shot, though : )

I was about to post this as well
Looks like maybe Jai realizes he made a bad call.
He won’t end up at Kentucky. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he ends up at Minnesota with Tubby though.
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."
I agree
I don’t see any way he ends up at Kentucky, considering our scholarship situation, and the fact that we have a very short PG in Vilarino comoing next year. I’m not saying Vilarino is as good as Lucas, but I think the Lucas boat has sailed when it comes to Kentucky.
Lucas to Minnesota seems very possible.
Lucas
What’s his beef anyway? Having to compete with 2 freshmen for playing time this year?
And I agree with you blue ky girl, we got the best in Patterson.
Not just the two this year
But some incoming people being recruited as well.

Personally
I was never really upset about “missing out” on Lucas.

I agree.
It never bothered me, and I don’t think we should try to bring him now. Good player, but we already have better coming in.

Ditto
UK has a history of producing undersized guards (T. Ford among others), but I would much rather have a 6-4 to 6-6 lead than a sub-6foot guy.
Nor was I...
nor did I change my mind as time went on. I doubt that he would have received much PT last year behind our guards. This year would be the one that he would have been able to contribute, and I wouldn’t trade him for what we have now, even though our guard situation was questionable up to this point. There are still questions, but I think we have the answers.
Lucas
Not going to Minnesota, period.
Gophers have 13 on scholarship this season and 14 committed for next season.
Soph PG Al Nolen will start the next 3 years. He’s a star in the making.
