No better team for a farewell!
I'm glad that Kentucky was the last team that Fulmer faced as the Vols head coach. It has absolutely nothing to do with the streak, Cobb, or any of the other storylines that come up. The reason I'm happy about the final foe is that it was a game where you knew the fans of both teams would be classy throughout the game - even if Kentucky had won. (Could you imagine how ugly things would have gotten if Alabama had been the last team and tried pulling off an extended Rammer Jammer?)
I know that losing always disappoints, and I don't mean this to be a moral victory kind of post. But I do want to say thanks to you and your general fan base; whatever you think of him, letting Fulmer go out with a stadium full of respectful people was a good thing.
Bravo Zulu!

I can only hope that your next coach
doesn’t enjoy the same success against as Fulmer has. Let him be the last UT coach to go undefeated against UK!!! :)
Thank you for the fan compliment. As crazy as UK fans can be I’d like to think that for the most part the majority of us are tolerable and easy to game with and talk smack with.
If the UK fans I've run across are any indicator, you fit both descriptions nicely.
There’s no reason you can’t be crazy and civil at the same time.
