KHSAA votes to soften athlete-transfer rules
This is a step in the right direction, but doesn't even begin to address the other flaws in the KHSAA system which have been noted on this blog several times in the past.
The KHSAA is fiddling while Rome burns, in my opinion, and is setting itself up to be replaced by a less "independent" body. That damage would be totally self-inflicted, as it seems obvious to anyone with two brain cells to rub together that punishing athletes is not the thing to do in cases of recruiting and questionable transfer.
The sooner the KHSAA gets to the correct conclusion, the better it will be for Kentucky athletes and families, but the fact of the matter is, they have competing interests that interfere in rational decision making. I hope the Kentucky legislature will force them out of that self-centered way of thinking.

I agree also.
There is much more that needs to done in KHSAA.
Euton and Jackson’s original ineligibles were overturned. Why should a family and a player have to go through that process? It just seems the KHSAA just immediately throws an ineligible out there for no valid reason.
Zollo had his approved for Clark County? w/o all the crap from the Association.
It is time for the KHSAA to realize that we are in a very different society with people losing jobs, divorces, family turmoil, etc. and the student athlete should be utmost.
I hope to see many other changes forthcoming for the good of the students and athletics.
