Rich Brooks

I don't know if anyone else noticed the graphic that was flashed up during the Arkansas game the other night showing the UK scoring average over the last few years (since Rich Brooks took over).  For those of you who didn't here is a summary:

2003 - 27.3 (Ranked #57)
2004 - 15.7 (Ranked #114)
2005 - 21.7 (Ranked #89)
2006 - 26.7 (Ranked #43)
2007 - 47.0 (Ranked #10 so far)

I don't know about anyone else but seeing that and seeing the results on the field are enough for me to see that Rich Brooks is on the right track.  I know next year may not be quite as good, loosing quite a bit of our offense but seeing the progression under Coach Brooks gives me hope for this year not just being a one and done year.  Hopefully we can see continued success into the future because I am loving what I see in the present!

Well ...
keep in mind that next year, we get back our offensive line mostly intact, plus Alfonso Smith, Tony Dixon, Derrick Locke, Dickie Lyons, DeMareo Ford, plus possibly Curtis Pulley at WR or QB, depending on what Hartline and Lentz do.

Not all that bad.  Certainly not likely to lead the league in offense, but not likely to sink to to bottom, either.

Agreed....
I don't disagree at all, and that was somewhat the point I was trying to make.  No matter who we have lost, even if we see a slightly less productive year on the offensive side of the ball we are headed in the right direction.  Brooks has been able to replace key players effectively since he has been at UK and the numbers are backing it up.  Even with the loss of key players like Woodson, Little, Burton and Johnson on offense we have some good depth and could possible have as well rounded an offense as we do this year.
