Is Billy Gillispie really dating a 19-year old in Lexington?

Not trying to stir anything up... I just read something about Gillispie's honeymoon being "over" and his dating habits were mentioned with regards to the "morals clause" in his yet-to-be-signed contract at UK.

(300 characters? I have to keep typing? I can't think of anything else to say. The 300 character requirement for the diary seems a bit much!)

Even if it were ...

that's not the kind of information we discuss here.

In my honest opinion, what coaches do on their time is/aught to be off limits unless he is breaking the law or hurting the reputation of the university, and dating a young woman of consenting age is hardly a scandal.

If I were a 50 year old bachelor, I would certainly be inclined to chase 20-somethings (but not sure I would go to 19). They say that your eyes may get older, but what they find attractive never does.

Seriously, who knows? And who cares? Not I.

As far as morals are concerned, no contract I have ever heard of sets an age limit on girlfriends other than being above the age of consent. If he was seeing a coed attending UK, moral turpitude could well be an issue, but otherwise it seems hard to figure in this day and age.

Besides, he has no contract. There is no morals clause to break, although I'm sure if he did something really egregious, it wouldn't matter.

Clydes Age

Clyde is 48, not 50. And he doesn't appreciate you aging him 2 years. LOL

I think Tru makes good points. What the coach does on his own time, especially as it pertains to relationships, is none of our, or anyone elses business. As long as he is living within the limits of the law.

Hey, Pilot, stop trying to start a bunch of sh-- up here. We have enough problems already. :)

Dating Younger Women

Why Billy Clyde's personal business is his and his alone - I would personally prefer he keep things in the middle of the road to avoid inevitable distraction.

With that said, it can't be that big a deal as our new Lt. Governor's chick is a little youngster herself.

Oh well, at least the Kentucky banter has risen above the marrying cousins kind.

I think GatorPilot is having fun stirring our pot - I think I'll head over to some Gator sites and start some Urban/Billy rumors

... I just read it somewhere and wondered if it was true. If I really wanted to run with it as a story at AOL it wouldn't be too terribly hard to find out. From what I was told this may have something to do with his contract issue, and that's starting to become a pretty significant story.

So no one cares to confirm or deny, eh? Heheheheh.

The "Billy is Dating a 19-year-old" rumor I hear with the same frequency as the "Billy Donovan's wife was looking at horse farms for sale" rumor I heard in March.
