Tomahawk Nation and A Sea of Blue on NBC Sports' Blogger Bowlnanza

NBC Sports had Jerry Scott of Tomahawk Nation and I join them on their Blogger Bowlnanza recently.  I must admit, I was pretty awkward in this interview.  I had forgotten it was rescheduled for 1:00 instead of 3:00, and was not really prepared for the telephone call.

Jerry and I both flubbed up the quiz pretty badly.  I have an excuse, though -- I'm old, and my memory isn't what it used to be.

Enjoy.  Treat this as an open thread, and discuss the Music City Bowl.

Celebrity in our midst?
Congrats Tru.

I am truly looking forward to the game tomorrow.  We are heading to Nashville in the morning.

This is especially gratifying, since we are now a football school.

By the way...
...  your "real" voice is a little squeakier than I imagined it to be.  Heh, heh.

My recorded voice ...
sounds very strange to me as well, especially over the phone.  But of course, telephone audio dynamics favor the highs because of the type of microphones used.

I'm quite positive I don't sound quite so "squeaky" in person, or recorded with mic with a wider dynamic range.

Okay...
...  but I still reserve the right to call you by the nickname "Squeaky" when we're in rivalry-mode!

well, I'll be damned
I didn't even realize till just now that the basketball game today actually was TODAY rather than tonight.  In, like, less than an hour.  I guess this will give me something to do here at work today--I live here in Nashville and yet am (supposedly) working rather than partying down at the Music City Bowl, lucky lucky me.

The "benefit" of our basketball team sucking so hard this year is that every single game, even the ones against 3-8 Florida International, seem--and ARE!--100% loseable.  So every single game keeps me on the edge of my seat--it's very exciting!  See, it's not all bad for us.

: )

Wow ...
you must have had to look really hard to find that microscopic silver lining in this cloud of a season (so far).

:-)

You can check here for updates.  I'll be watching the game and typing comments in the open thread.

Good Job Tru
Hey you missed the Lorenzen one, but you won the quiz!

And more importantly, your hair was much better than Matt Jones's on his first video outing.

All I have to say...
...is that Tru is the spitting image of a younger Oscar Combs.

Check the gene pool lately?
