Why I love Lexington

This is just something funny that happened to me that I thought was worth writing down.

So I go to Great Clips to get my hair cut today and this elderly lady that works there (she is at least 60) asks me how my Halloween went.

She then tells me that she had to stop handing out candy and decided to close her door and turn off her porch light not because she was out of candy or that she was getting tired...

She closed up shop because the UK game was on.

She then went into a play by play of the game telling me how she thinks Jodie Meeks seemed to have a better ability to move and shoot rather than just a catch and release player.

How are interior defense is needing work, how are players looked tired at the end of the game, and how she thinks PatPat will go pro by his junior year.

She told me how she thought Coach seems like a nice man but she wanted to wait awhile and see how the season turned out before she made any real opinion about him.

I love it. Only in Lexington.

If it wasn't for my DVR...
...I would have been walking around Fayette Mall with my kids trick-or-treating while listening to the game on the radio. I was honestly surprised that Foot Locker didn't have the game on. I suppose they run their ad videotape and don't pay for cable TV anymore. Many years ago, I used to work in the Babbages' video game store. And we would be remiss to have at least one TV on the basketball game. Very bad for business.
