Here is my ballot and comments in the SEC Power Poll for Week 5. You can find the compiled results at Garnet and Black Attack.
Kentucky continues to impress both Wildcat fans and pollsters, rising up to #8 in the national polls. There are quite a number of people who are skeptical of Kentucky, however, and this Friday's tilt with the Gamecocks in Columbia will tell a lot about both teams.
As always, feel free to comment.
|LSU (W)||1||10/2/2007||I think they were looking past Tulane. Who wouldn't?|
|Kentucky (E)||2||10/2/2007||Well, who else you gonna put in here?|
|South Carolina (E)||3||10/2/2007||1st in the nation against the pass, 100th against the run. Who knows what can happen?|
|Georgia (E)||4||10/2/2007||Georgia is starting to look like a team who can compete for the East.|
|Florida (E)||5||10/2/2007||Linebacking corps is broke. Tebow's health is all that stands between them and the abyss.|
|Auburn (W)||6||10/2/2007||Cox plays his first good game. Will there be another?|
|Arkansas (W)||7||10/2/2007||McFadden is the only reason they are slotted here. That, and everyone below them lost except Vandy.|
|Alabama (W)||8||10/2/2007||Lost to an FSU team they should have beaten. I can't figure out why I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt.|
|Mississippi State (W)||9||10/2/2007||Beating Auburn sure looks a lot better now.|
|Vanderbilt (E)||10||10/2/2007||Nickson is throwing the ball well, but to the wrong team.|
|Tennessee (E)||11||10/2/2007||Beat somebody, and you'll earn something.|
|Mississippi (W)||12||10/2/2007||A tough, hard nosed team going nowhere really fast.|
|Overall comments: Kentucky getting a lot of love. Florida is looking very vulnerable. Georgia rising?|
